History

The Farm of Hope was brought to existence in 1997, when a group of Romanian Christians wanted to bring hope in the young men “lives that didn’t” find any place in the society. They started with simple things. They were consistently offered food and clothes together with the trust and advices the young men needed. But everything was collapsing in the moment the young men saw themselves again in the street, shipwrecked in a sea of despair. A stable place which will offer support to the children and the young men without family and home…

In that moment they raised their voice towards God and they asked for an “isle” of hope.

There appeared generous people from Romania and from other countries with their souls connected to the principles of Christian morality and who offered substantial help. We thank God for all those who have been involved during this time in the activities of the Farm of Hope, for which we are sincerely grateful and we tell them that all their effort and sacrifices have contributed very much at the changing of many young men destinies.

Now there is a material nucleus of giving stability, there are some buildings, an estate which offers multiple possibilities. It is a first step to the normal life of these young men, in which love is replaced with love, suspicion with trust and despair with hope.

For the future, our foundation has ambitious projects which, once put into practice, will make much more for generations of disadvantaged young men who will come to us.

It depends on each one of us to change the destinies of these young men…
